City Liffre decided on the total reconstruction of the football field in the Pierre-Rouzel area. These works will force the closure of the site for approximately ten months. This decision is based on observations detailed by the community:

The condition of the field has been deteriorating for several seasons and football is hardly played on it, for several reasons: the presence of a large number of earthworms, which make it very greasy in the winter, a problem with the drainage of the surface, which makes it very wet, the presence of many deformations on the playing field.

Several operations

Several operations will be carried out: scalping of the entire plot (removal of the surface allowing the removal of the top layer of soil), sandblasting with a soil contribution of 300 tons of sand 0/4, which will be mixed with the terrestrial vegetation on site, decompaction of the soil (allowing it to be aerated), sprinkling of the playing area (semi-square 40 g/m² with specific grass for the sports field), creating percolation slots that will let the ground on the surface drain.

Work will begin in early October for approximately two weeks. City Hall Liffre fully supports work, up to €51,860 tax-free.
