The return of the Abbeville – Le Tréport train: the transport minister is ready to make it a priority

Many train users are calling for the line to be reopened between Abbeville and Le Treportclosed as of May 2018. Petition raised 3000 signatures.

“I’m like Saint Thomas”

Representative Seine Maritime, Sebastien Jumel (PCF), states that he had a switchboard with the ministerial delegate responsible for transport, Clement Beaune. “This exchange was rather positive, but I am like St. Thomas. We’ll see what happens concretely.”

The deputy continues: “He told me several things: that things should move on the level crossings, that he is ready to put the Abbeville-Le Tréport file at the center of the priority components of the agreement on the state and regional plan and that he is ready to help us and accept us on the principle of consent early 2023”.

Sébastien Jumel is also awaiting a reply to the letter he sent to the minister in July 2022.

The MP adds that the petition is a sign of the residents’ attachment to the Abbeville-Le Tréport railway line.
