At the age of 25, Julie Goursaud, childcare assistant at Jossigny Hospital and resident of Nanteuil-lès-Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), was elected. Angelic beauty Ile-de-France last March. He will participate in the national elections on Saturday, November 5. Conversation.

Why did you decide to apply for the Angel beauty election?

In defense of women’s values. I discovered this contest on social media and the values inspired me. The only criterion is the age between 18 and 25 years. We can show that all women are beautiful, regardless of their figure. And then it’s a challenge for me.

It’s not easy to parade and it took me a long time to accept my body. I struggled with my weight for a long time. We tend to compare ourselves with social media, but I want to show that a girl can be whatever she wants.

How are you preparing for the national elections?

I am very stressed. So I rehearse my passages, list all my outfits so I don’t forget anything, and then rest and hydrate to be in shape for D-Day. On November 2nd, we start a week of preparation to work on the choreography. There is an opening passage, a parade in street clothes, in swimwear, in evening dresses…

And on Friday evening there is free passage before the jury. I decided to dance. I will be performing with an angel to the song Vole by Celine Dion to pay tribute to all the people who have gone too soon and also to highlight the name of the competition “Angel”. I go there mainly to have fun and beat my complex with my body.

If you win the election on Saturday 5 November, what will your role be as Angel Beauty France?

I will promote the committee as much as possible, continue to show that every woman has her place in society and advocate for self-acceptance. I also want to fight child abuse by getting closer to associations and talking on social networks.
