“We want to create performance”

“We’re in a hurry and we can’t wait for it to start. We are primarily motivated by the thought of playing this match,” assures David Stolarczyk, AOSC coach. His club, which plays in the 5th district division, will belong to the small thumbs of the competition. “I’m always pleased and it’s the first time we’ve welcomed such a strong team to the Coupe de France. »

Because yes, Sallaumines has already reached the 5th round (his record) in the 2014-2015 season, but he has never faced an opponent of this caliber.

“My players are a bit scared because there is still a difference of eight divisions at Compiègne. It will be difficult to compete physically, but also technically,” he admits.

But Sallauminois is eager for revenge with N3 and dreams of success: “We hope to go as long as possible without conceding a goal and then you never know, anything is possible in a match. Performance is doable, we remain positive. We’re going to give it our all. »

The AOSC coach can count on a solid squad: “We have players of a good level, the squad is cut to play higher than D5,” he confides. Sallaumines’ strong point is the midfield. “Our two sixes are key players in the team. »

Eight divisions apart!

The team is in good spirits and won their first league game last weekend. “Since May we have played 15 friendlies and a couple of games in the Coupe de France. We are undefeated and hope to continue the streak. »

AOSC players should be well supported this Sunday as almost 400 supporters are expected. “We did a little advertising on social media and put up posters around town. It would be nice if we could wait for the 500 fans,” smiles David Stolarczyk.
