The signing of this agreement between the state and the community aims to “improve the living conditions of citizens”, emphasizes Patrick Le Diffon, mayor of the ducal city. It is mainly about strengthening cooperation between the city police and gendarmerie. This cooperation between the Ploermelais municipal police and gendarmes has been in place for some time. The signing of the security agreement will make it possible to increase efficiency by setting up “tools for consultation, cooperation and consultation between the state and the mayor and between the gendarmerie and the city police”, assures Patrick Le Diffon.
The document “adapted to each city”, as the sub-prefect said, makes it possible to create a “tailor-made system”, says squadron commander Frédéric Monpierre, commander of the Ploërmel gendarmerie company.
