The paratroopers were dropped in two sticks from a US Air Force plane.
They used precision sails to land smoothly on the spot. After a discussion with the mayor, during which they were presented with a flag in the city’s colors, the paratroopers were picked up by their Boeing Bell V-22 Osprey, an American hybrid transport vehicle.
Its tilt-rotor formula allows it to take off and land vertically like a helicopter and fly like an airplane. The equipment and above all the flyover, which did not go unnoticed in the skies of the Cotentin.
