Norman Cinema Festival: two ‘Manchois’ films revealed in preview!

The Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2022, film festival in Normandy will be held in all cinemas in the region. The principle is to offer moviegoers tickets for €5 for any movie.

Movie stars in the Cotentin

In this context, several movieswho were supported by the Region or filmed on Normandy soilwill be previewed throughout the weekend, especially in partner cinemas in Manch.

On the agenda in the Cotentin

– Barneville-Carteret: “Tempête”, Saturday at 17:30 and 21:00; “Les Cadors”, Sundays at 5.30pm and 9pm.
– Cherbourg (CGR-Odéon): “Storm”, Saturday at 18:00
– La Haye-du-Puits: “Les Cadors”, Friday at 18:00; “Storm,” Sunday at 6 p.m.
– Saint-Lô: “Storm”, Saturday at 20:25
– Valognes: “Tempête”, Sunday at 17:30

Among the films shown, we note the presence in particular two feature films shot in the English Channel. First, To Cadorwhich is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 11, 2023, was filmed in the Cotentin in August 2021.

It mainly features renowned French actors such as Jean-Paul Rouve, Michel Blanc, Marie Gillain and Grégoire Ludig. The film is all the more marked as “Made in Cotentin” because its producer Maxime Delauney is from Carentan.

For five weeksfilm crews therefore took pictures on Cherbourg and called more than 200 accessories. Local personalities will be on screen as a boxer Max Beaussire or Armelle, owner of the legendary bar L’Éole, located on rue Tour-Carrée. And the actors have good memories of this area.
