Mulhouse: The Chinese bridge is closed to the public for several weeks

The Chinese Bridge in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) is closed to the public from Thursday, October 20 to November 18, 2022. “Work is underway to restore the main pipe of the drinking water network in rue Pierre de Coubertin,” explains the city of Mulhouse. This pipe with a diameter of 350 mm dates from 1963. It is the most used in the city.

Work worth more than 600,000 euros

According to the municipality of Mulhouse, “there have been 5 breakdowns in the section affected by the works in the last ten years. In order to ensure the supply of drinking water to Mulhouse, the city decided to act and restore this section of the pipeline”.
