Providing families in rural areas with the same services as in a big city: that’s the idea behind a new professionalization service for people working with children.
“Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne has acquired modern and functional equipment to which we are very committed,” declares Raymond Girardi, president of the 3CLG (Community of Municipalities of Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne).
With a free service, this place also makes it possible to promote the quality of reception of children from 0 to 3 years old in the house of a carer or with parents or grandparents.
Nathalie Rouy, manager and facilitator for 16 years, will welcome caregivers and parents to the relay. His training enables him to grasp every situation in its entirety, in its social, family and relational aspects.
“The relay welcomes people from all the communes of the 3CLG and even from the neighboring department of Gironde,” he clarifies. Children will be able to get to know each other and share all the games available to them.
They will be able to participate in a morning of motor skills, musical awakening, storytelling and more. Parents will be able to communicate with their children and plan events with the support of the experts present.
Pauline and Mickaël have been coming to the relay for 4 months with Juliette, their 9-month-old daughter. “We wanted to come to make it easier for our child to socialize and do different activities from home.”
Stéphanie, a young mother, has also been coming for 3 months with her 13-month-old daughter Eléa: “It allows us to exchange advice with other mothers”.
