Lorraine. Two people die in ultralight accident, investigation open

Two men from Lunévillois are deceased this Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Gueblange-les-Dieuzein Moselva microlight accident.

According to the gendarmerie, two friends over the age of sixty took off fromGuéblange-lès-Dieuze airport shortly after 9:00 a.m. For some as-yet-undetermined reason, their equipment failed crashed 1 km further and has flare up after hitting a tree.

Firefighters, gendarmes, detectives…

The firemen and gendarmes de Dieuze quickly arrived at the scene of the tragedy. Shortly after, some deminers they were called in as reinforcements. “This type of device has a cartridge that is used to eject the reserve parachute and is potentially explosive,” the gendarmerie suggests Lorraine News.

Technicians in criminal investigationof aviation investigators as well as members Air Transport Brigade from the Met and Strasbourg were also on site.

BEA members expected in the coming hours

So the pilot was a victim and weakness ? It is engine failure ? The exact circumstances of this tragic accident will be clarified only by the investigation.

Members Bureau of Investigation and Analysis (BEA) for Civil Aviation Security are expected in the next few hours.
