After La Baule and Chapelle-des-Marais, Gerard Jugnot he came to Croisic (Loire-Atlantique) for one day, September 29, 2022, to shoot scenes for his next film Like magic.

After the first day of filming in La Baule on 19 September, the team settled on a farm in La Chapelle-des-Marais for about ten days before finishing up in Le Croisic.

During the day, the film crew filmed arrival and departure scenes between the pier and Pen Bron beach.

“We will be filming for 2-3 days in Nantes before ending up in the Paris region. The final scene will be shot in November at the Folies Bergère. At the moment, the release date has not yet been recorded, ”explains the production.

In this film, Gérard Jugnot finds a director he knows well, Christophe Barratier.

I have already shot 3 with Christophe: Les Choristes, Faubourg 36 and New War of the Buttons. I am happy to find him in this new project, a film that mixes comedy and emotion.

I came 25 years ago to shoot in Pen Bron, when it was still a hospital, the film Marthe with Clotilde Courau, Guillaume Depardieu and Bernard Giraudeau. I am thrilled to be there. I had good memories of this peninsula, it is a beautiful place.

In addition, the 71-year-old actor does not rule out shooting scenes for his next film as a director in the region.

The plot of the movie

Story about Like magic it’s Victor (Kev Adams), a fulfilled man in his thirties, in a relationship with Margot and a happy dad-to-be whose career as a magician is starting to take off.

However, life has a completely different destiny in store for him. Victor will have to learn to be a father himself, the one who never had a parent.

Alone, not quite, Jacques (Gérard Jugnot), his capricious father-in-law, intervenes in his life and in the life of his granddaughter, with whom he finds a new youth. An unlikely tandem, whose arbiter will be Nina, Victor’s childhood friend with a strong character.
