In recent months, two appeals against Haute-Savoie’s bid for the 2027 World Cycling Championships have been filed in the courts. The first was filed by nine associations in August 2022 and the second was elected by environmentalists in early September 2022. They condemn the unauthorized expenditure for the worlds and also fear that communities will not be able to reuse the future velodrome that will occasionally need to be built.
