On the occasion of the aviation festival seCaen-Carpiquet Airport (Calvados) decided to celebrate 20 years of your terminal. For four days, from Thursday 22 September to Sunday 25 September 2022, festivities are expected.
Ceremonially launched 1ahem in February 2002, the famous silver ship replaced the old building from 1968. In 2021, just over 227,000 passengers visited the airport, and the figures for 2022 look even better.
As of 2009, Caen-Carpiquet Airport continues to develop. Located 15 minutes from downtown Caen, it is an essential facility for the economic development of the Normandy region.

What will happen in celebrating this anniversary for four days? CCI Caen Normandie offers a program for all spectators from September 22 to 25:
- Thursday, September 22 from 18:30: round table on sustainable aviation led by Luc Chavany, Vice President of CCI Caen Normandie with the participation of Lionel Guérin, former CEO of Hop! Air France, Chairman of the Aéro Biodiversité Association, Philippe Eudeline (Chairman of Normandie AeroEspace, Stéphane Basset-Charcot (Director of Aviation Marketing and Sales of Total Energies). Friday, September 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: pupils from the schools of Carpiquet and Saint-Manvieu-Norrey are invited to participate in an “escape game” offered by the association Aéro Biodiversité, to meet a farmer from the airport GAEC and to raise awareness of the dangers to animals.
Saturday, September 24 from 10:00 to 17:30: Flying Club Open Day with first flights, flight simulator, aircraft displays, on-site catering and sporting activities. Road from Caumont to Carpiquet. Open to all
OF Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 September from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: exhibition and retrospective on the history of the airport, in the terminal. Open to all
