According to Mathieu Vich
The great event will take place on October 1 and 2, 2022 at the Collinéum de Beaupuy. Four preseason games will be held for next season of the Women’s National Basketball League.
Stéphane Robert came up with this idea at the beginning of the season. He already had this project in his former club, but it will finally come true here.
In fact, it is a great promotion of women’s basketball in Lot-et-Garonne. And especially “for BBM, which attaches great importance to the women’s section”, continues the president.
They should not miss Marine Fauthoux (French international), Céline Dumerc (one of the greatest players in the history of French basketball) or even Isabelle Yacoubou (former captain of the French team).
Four teams will meet on this occasion. Namely Basket Landes (the team is coached by Lot-et-Garonnaise Julie Barennes); Tarbes Gespe Bigorre; Flames Carolo Basket Ardennes (Charleville-Mézières club) and Basket Club La Roche Vendée.
So four teams playing at the highest level of women’s basketball.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
Saturday 1 October at 14:30: La Roche Vendée versus Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes; at 5 p.m.: Tarbes against Basket Landes. This will be followed at 20:00 by the Men’s National 2 match between BB Marmande and Rezé Basket 44. The women’s teams will also be invited to the evening. Note that in the morning these professional players will conduct a technical workshop for the youth of the club.
Sunday 2 October at 13:00: Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes v Basket Landes, then at 15:30: Tarbes v La Roche Vendée.
Two more Marmandais matches could also be played that day.
In terms of prices, the participation package for both days (including national match 2) is set at €20. It’s €15 on Saturdays and €10 on Sundays only. Young people from 6 to 16 pay €12. Young graduates of the club have a prize “prior” from €8.
