association Victim of France 72 establishes a new organization for its offices in Sable-sur-Sarthe and to Arrow. Two lawyers, a psychologist and five volunteers come to the aid of victims of crimes in Le Mans, but also on hotlines.

In Sable, Andre Commere, a former gendarme, provided them voluntarily for 15 years. He hands over Jeanne Vermes, a young professional lawyer hired by the association in July. Originally from the Vendée, she worked for France Victim in Morbihan after her master’s degree in law.

The association intervenes “after a complaint is filed”. His first role: listening. “We hear from all types of crime victims. »

Find the right contacts

Leads victims through a maze judicial machinery.

We send them to the right contacts, between a mediator, conciliator, lawyer or other associations in Sarthe. We inform them about their rights, about the constitution of the civil party.

There are victims among them domestic violence. “We can see them at their request or at the request of the prosecutor, but whenever they wish. At the request of the prosecution, we can carry out a vulnerability assessment of the victim to see if they need a protective device: for example, an anti-reconciliation bracelet or a phone for serious danger. It is then up to the judge to introduce it. And we’ll add our rating to the file. »

He may also notify the victim of the rejection of his complaint. “If it’s not us, it would be a simple letter,” explains Jeanne Vermes.

Whatever the situation, “people come with answers to their questions. We have time and we are here to listen to them.

Offices in Sablé and La Flèche

association Victim of France 72 is reorganized and offers only one permanence per month.

In Sablé, it takes place every 1st Tuesday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Maison des Associations, on the 3rd floor, office 4. The permanence also takes place on the same day in La Flèche, but from 1:30 p.m. 16: 30 in court.
