A tender for a second wind farm off the Cotentin coast is launched

The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) published this Friday, October 21, 2022 a notice of proceedings for tender for the second offshore wind farm from the area Channel Center. After prior consultation, Ministry of Energy Transition verified on August 9, 2022, on an area of ​​270 km2east of the first park, the winner of which should be known early next year.

The purpose of the project is to build and operate a an installed offshore wind farm with an installed capacity of between 1.4 and 1.6 GW.

The deposit of interested parties is open until December 23. The procedure then goes through a selection phase, verify technical and financial possibilities. This will be followed in February by a competitive dialogue phase, for a period of three months. Bidders will then be invited to submit a bid.

Three selection criteria are specified by CRE:
